The American Legion was Chartered in 1919 as a patriotic veteran's organization that was formed to bring service to veteran's, their families and their communities. Runnestrand-Pederson Post 354 serves as the arm of the national American Legion as it provides the services to veterans locally and serves to meet the needs of the community.

Every Memorial Day a formation of crosses are arranged in memoriam of all veterans from the Ettrick area who have passed. This display is on main street between (instert name of insurance company here) and the future location of our new community center.
